The event, attended by 20 participants, is part of the political empowerment of Bahraini women programme.
Shura Council member Dalal Al-Zayed lectured during the workshop, and focused on ways of mobilising support and winning votes.
Acting Director-General of Policies and Development at the SCW Dr. Dunya Ahmed highlighted the role of body language skills in communication and convincing voters.
Director of Insurance against Unemployment at the Labour Ministry Fawziya Shehab shed light on the issue of women’s work in the private sector.
The “Electoral Preparation” Programme aims to attract Bahraini females vying to run for the 2014 municipal and parliamentary elections, and focuses on a number of themes, including the creation of electoral campaigns’ teams, skills to win support, ways of dealing with mass media and monitoring elections.
