MANAMA: Three police officers have been killed and injured as many as six, one seriously, as a homemade bomb ripped apart the police vehicle in Jidhhafs area on Monday in Bahrain Capital city of Manama.
“Three police personnel died in a terror blast in Daih while police were dispersing rioters,” Ministry of interior in its Twitter account confirmed.
According to the eyewitnesses, the police were trying to disperse hundreds of rioters when the police vehicle struck by a homemade bomb probably detonated by a remote device. However, the details of the incident except causalities have not been confirmed officially.
The armed attacks on police which sometimes turn fatal continue in Bahrain by terrorist groups since 2011 when armed gangs tried to choke the government in widespread violent attacks across the country which left many killed.
Majority of Bahrainis and residents reject violence on the roads as people want peace and tranquillity for which Bahrain has been known for centuries where people from different faiths and sects live together in a total harmony.
