Moscow: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister arrived at Vnukovo Airport in Moscow for a working visit to Russia.
Upon arriving in Moscow, His Royal Highness said that the visit was aimed strengthening bilateral ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation, with a focus on trade and investment, culture and tourism, and civil aviation.
His Royal Highness said that the visit was aimed at building upon the steady growth of ties following His Majesty King Hamad’s previous state visit to Moscow.
The visit is in response to an official invitation extended to His Royal Highness by the Russian Prime Minister Dimitry Medvedev, and coincides with the Bahrain-Russian Business Forum due to take place on 29 April.
The Forum jointly organised by the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), the Russian-Bahrain Business Council, and the Russian-Arab Business Council aims at identifying opportunities to enhance links between Bahrain and Russia. Several agreements are expected to be signed during the visit.
His Royal Highness was received by the Presidential Special Envoy for the Middle East, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, and the Bahraini Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Hashim Al Bash.
