MANAMA: The Kingdom of Bahrain to bolster its status as leading meeting, incentives, conferences and exhibition (MICE) hub in the region.
Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro reaffirmed government’s strategy to host all meaningful events that enhance the national economy, noting in this regard to sponsor economic activities with high added value to the national economy which confirms Kingdom unique position to attract global events.
This came during a meeting with CEO of Al Dana Partners Limited Muneera Al Mubarak and Dr. Steen Ehlern, Managing Partner/ Chief Executive Officer of Ferguson Partners.
The Minister praised the outstanding efforts made by the private sector and fruitful cooperation with the public sector in enhancing economic development trends and promotes Kingdom as strategic location for business throughout the region. The Minister also praised the remarkable activity of Bahraini businesswomen which flow mainly to promote the name of the Kingdom in the global arena. And achieve Bahrain strategic vision 2030.
Munera Al Mubarak expressed her company’s desire for the minister to patronize three events planned to set up this year in the Kingdom in collaboration with its Swiss company partner. The first one is on investment opportunities & real estate and will be held in June. The second event will be held on November under title of banking and finance sector. The third event is on luxury collectibles and will be held on December 2014. She also reviewed Al Dana strategy and future plans which aim to promote the kingdom and attract international investment especially in light of facilities given by the government.
Muneera Al Mubarak thanked and appreciated the government and the Ministry for their keenness to support economic trends for the private sector.
