MANAMA: Bahrain and United States reviewed bilateral relations and coordination across a number of areas, including means to counter terrorism and other threats to the region.
This came as His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister received at Gudaibiya Palace the Ambassador of the United States to the Kingdom of Bahrain Thomas Krajeski and Commander of the US Fifth Fleet, Vice Admiral John Miller.
His Royal Highness emphasised the long-standing ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States.
His Royal Highness then highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to stable economic and political development, in line with the principles laid down by His Majesty King Hamad. He stressed the importance of consensus-based reform and development to address the interests of all and maintain security and stability.
His Royal Highness called for further deepening of coordination and collaboration under the collective aim of lasting stability and safety for the region and its people.
The meeting also covered shared interests relating to developments of regional and international significance.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince also attended the meeting.
