MANAMA: The Ministry of Works plans an annual performance audit to measure performance development and improve services.
The Ministry on Thursday received a 10-member delegation from the Shura Council and Council of Representatives.
The Ministry introduced them to the successful strategy management model and how to benefit from and apply the measures of the Balanced Scorecard Methodology.
During the meeting, Strategic Planning & Quality Management Chief Raja Al Zayani conducted a comprehensive presentation on strategy and quality management at the Ministry of Works, its mission, vision and objectives. She also highlighted the important role that the Ministry plays in providing public works services and contributing to the economic and social development in the Kingdom of Bahrain and providing a better life the people in Bahrain.
Al Zayani also referred to the Ministry’s best practices in the field of strategy management; explaining how that enabled the Ministry to achieve many successes on various levels.
Al Zayani explained that the methodology that the Ministry had adopted since 2004 has earned them a prestigious rank as a leading professional organization that adopts the principles of justice, competitiveness and sustainability.
“All of this has enabled the Ministry to become an active partner in both public and private activities and also in the field of project management.”
In her presentation, she reiterated the importance of strategic planning and quality management and the Balanced Scorecard Methodology, which managed to enroll the Ministry in the Hall of Fame since 2009.
According to Al Zayani, the Ministry’s strategic initiative in quality management managed to earn them the ISO 9001 Certification for 4 years in a row.
