MANAMA: The General Director of Northern Governorate Police announced on Monday that legal action has been taken against six rioters in Daih village.
He said that the suspects, who are minors, were referred to the public prosecution and that they were sent to the Juvenile Care Center.
He said that a press report in a local newspaper with a statement from Al Wefaq National Islamic Society alleging that tens of children were being held at Bahrain’s prisons did not provide any evidence and that the claim wasn’t true.
He said that individuals who have specific complaints should seek assistance from public offices such as the Public Prosecution, Ombudsman’s Office or at a local police station.
