MANAMA: His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on Tuesday reiterated the government’s keenness on providing the necessary legislative cover for real estate firms in order to protect them and attract more investors.
HRH Premier also directed the concerned government sides to provide the necessary support for Bahraini exhibitors participating in exhibitions held in the Kingdom and ensure that exhibiting prices are more competitive.
He called for the need to hold more exhibitions in Bahrain, being essential for consolidating the development march and spurring the national trade and economy.
He praised the increasing number of real estate projects, and commended the efforts of the real estate development companies in this regard.
He stressed that the relevant ministries and government departments had already been instructed to hold meetings with investors and real estate development companies in order to discuss the problems facing the sector and address them.
HRH Premier expressed these views as he opened the Gulf Construction, Interiors & Furniture Exhibition (Gulf BID 2014), organised by Al-Hilal Conferences & Exhibitions at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre.

He asserted that the kingdom’s real estate sector has been solid enough and capable of withstanding all crises and challenges, confirming the government’s keenness to support it, given its crucial role as a major tributary to the national economy and ability to generate more job opportunities for the citizens.
HRH Premier pointed out that efforts to support the real estate sector through providing more facilities for businessmen and investors to motivate them to enter the Bahraini market, and back stalling projects in order to preserve the rights of investors and the citizens alike, will continue unabated.
He underlined the importance of partnership with the private sector in consolidating the real estate development in the kingdom through launching more projects that keep abreast of the renaissance witnessed by the kingdom and its distinguished tourism location in the region.
“The nation-building and development march in the kingdom will continue unwavering, and we have to go forward with all determination and resolve without paying attention to those seeking to disrupt the nation’s progress and prosperity,” he said.
“We are dealing with future challenges according to comprehensive vision through focusing on achieving comprehensive political, economic and social development, within a flexible framework through which we improve the citizens’ living standards and ensure that they all reap its fruits,” he added.
