The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) has recently sponsored the second border and coastguards week which is being held under the theme, “Maritime and Land Environment Safety”, as part of its continued commitment to supporting the social sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
As part of the sponsorship, Colonel Abdulrahman Juma, Commander of Muharraq Coastguard Base and Colonel Yousif Subai’i, Coastguard Command were received at Bapco in Awali for the sponsorship cheque presentation, where they met with Bapco’s Acting Deputy Chief Executive (Refining & Marketing) Khalid Al-Sabbagh and Bapco’s Acting Manager Public Relations, Ali Yacoub Al Meftah.
Khalid Al-Sabbagh expressed Bapco’s pride in the participation in this key event which reflects Bapco’s role as a key contributor to the social development in the Kingdom. The Coastguard Week activities were held at various locations in Bahrain like Dry Dock, Bilaj Al Jazair, Amwaj and the Bahrain City Center. The event is a key initiative by the Bahrain Coastguard as it aims to promote environmental awareness to protect human lives and marine resources in the Kingdom.
