MANAMA: His Royal Highness (HRH) Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, on Sunday directed the Minister of Housing to expedite the handing over of the completed housing units to their owners without any delay.
Samira Ibrahim bin Rajab, the Minister of State for Information Affairs and Government’s Official Spokesperson, during the post Cabinet meeting briefing at Gudaibia Palace told reporters that HRH Prime Minister who chaired the regular Cabinet session on Sunday praised the quality of the houses that were built using the highest standards.
HRH pointed out to the importance of openness in meeting citizens’ requirements, and thanked all ministers for the effort they make in attending those meetings.
The Cabinet discussed, a number of subjects and memorandums listed on the agenda including the draft Law on the Accession to the International Convention for Safe Containers (CSC).
The Cabinet discussed and approved the memorandum presented by the Deputy Prime Minister, President of the Ministerial Committee for Legal Affairs on the draft law on the accession to the International Convention for Safe Containers (CSC) of 1972 and its amendments.
The present Convention shall apply to new, existing and used containers in international transport. Further, it will include testing operations, inspecting, accrediting, maintaining, approving and accessioning as well as reservations and settlement of disputes.
The Cabinet decided to refer the draft law to the legislative authority.
