MANAMA: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister who attended the opening of a landmark inter-civilisations dialogue conference on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad highlighted the importance of resolving conflicts through dialogue.
Three-day conference titled the “Civilisations in Service to Humanity” is being held at the Gulf Hotel in Manama, focused on the importance of inter-faith dialogue in promoting religious tolerance, coexistence, and cultural ties.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince praised the conference for strengthening ties among nations, and fostering international cooperation across social, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
His Royal Highness highlighted the valuable role of dialogue in improving awareness and understanding of the common values shared by humankind. He emphasised the need to mitigate differences among people and to focus on shared principles to secure economic, social and cultural development.
His Royal Highness reaffirmed the Kingdom’s own commitment to promoting dialogue and welcoming initiatives undertaken by international and regional organisations to build links between international communities. His Royal Highness further underlined that tolerance and respect for diversity are fundamental tenets of Bahrain’s reform and development programme.
His Royal Highness concluded by extending his thanks to the guests and attendees and organisers of the conference.
