MANAMA: There is no concept of an independent State without ensuring the basic human rights of the citizens across the board, according to a top official at the Arab League.
Arab League Secretary-General Dr. Nabeel Al-Arabi during the International Conference of Arab Court of Human Rights in Manama said that there was no concept of State without guarantee of human rights.
“We can’t have an independent state if the people don’t enjoy human rights,” he asserted, adding that he hopes to see a free access to justice for all Arab citizens in Arab Court for Human Rights.
