MANAMA: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa commended the efforts of the Bahraini-British Joint Committee to boost bilateral relations in the economic, trade and investment fields, wishing the committee members every success in enhancing the two kingdom’s relations and opening up new horizons of cooperation at all levels.
This came as HM King Hamad held talks with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa, Hugh Robertson at Al-Safriya Palace on Wednesday.
Hugh is currently on a visit to the Kingdom to take part in the 3rd meeting of the Bahraini-British Joint Committee.
HM the King expressed pride in the solid outstanding deep-rooted Bahraini-British relations based on mutual trust and respect.
He lauded the advanced level of bilateral cooperation and coordination.
He affirmed the Kingdom’s constant desire to bolster its ties with the UK and expand areas of joint cooperation with it.
He praised the “constructive” role played by the UK to reinforce regional security and stability and promote global peace.
HM the King reviewed with the UK Minister the latest regional and global developments.
