Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Chairman Khalid Almoayed called on traders, businessmen and investors to participate in the two-day Second Bahraini-Turkish Business Forum, to be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa now rescheduled for November this year.
He said affirmed HRH Premier’s pivotal role in boosting the local economy and private sector.
He confirmed the Premier’s constant encouragement and support for joint GCC business action and promotion of Bahrain as a strategic location for regional and international events.
He said that the forum was organised by the Federation of GCC Chambers (FGCCC) in cooperation with BCCI, GCC Secretariat-General and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).
The Forum aims at marketing the opportunities in the GCC and Turkey, strengthening the channels of communication between the Gulf businessmen and their Turkish counterparts, increasing the volume of trade exchange and encouraging them to sign a free trade agreement, BCCI Chairman said explained, stressing BCCI’s keenness to boost trade and develop partnership between the two countries’ business sectors.
He pointed out that the investment climate’s development in the two countries paves the way for increasing bilateral trade and strategic partnership at all levels, wishing the forum every success in advancing the economic and trade relations between both parties.
He stressed the importance of exploring opportunities and economic and investment potentials in GCC and Turkey as well as the economic and trade cooperation potentials that will strengthen and develop bilateral economic and trade relations, which have growing rapidly in the past years.
A number of speakers will present their visions on ways to boost GCC-Turkish economic relations along with a number of GCC Trade and Industry Ministers, oil and gas and petrochemical companies, research centers, programs, studies and GCC Chambers of Commerce and Industry representatives, CEOs and General Managers of different GCC and Turkish companies and institutions, representatives of GCC investment encouraging authorities, and TOBB’s President.
