MANAMA: Bapco held an awarding ceremony to honour the winners of its 3rd Annual Arts Competition.
The event was held on Saturday at the Bapco Club in Awali, under the patronage of Bapco’s Chairman and Acting Chief Executive Adel Khalil Almoayyed, who deputised the company’s General Manager Human Resources and Administration, Ghassan Ali Al-Muhanna to attend the event.
In attendance at the event were the company’s top management, participants, and other guests. “We are here this evening to celebrate the culmination of an artistic extravaganza which has been conducted successfully in Bapco for the third straight year, and has continued to live up to expectations by garnering the cream of the nation’s talent,” speaking during the ceremony, Al Muhanna said.
“Bapco’s Annual Art Competition continues to raise the bar every year, with the enthusiasm and efforts of our participants scaling greater heights with every edition. We are indeed delighted to witness that such an attitude has successfully brought together talent from all over the kingdom and encouraged the competition to become a leading inclusion in Bahrain’s cultural calendar” he added. “Bapco has achieved remarkable success in previous editions of the event, with wide participation by artists from around the Kingdom. Entries, which were submitted under the theme Multiculturalism in Bapco was of a high quality and informal content which contributed to enriching the competition and towards the success of its goals”, Al-Muhanna said.
After Bapco’s Deputy Chief Executive, Ebrahim Talib gave a brief speech in which he underlined Bapco’s role in fostering the art movement, hailing the high quality of entries in the competition. Later, in the evening, winners’ names were announced with Fadheela Mohammed Hajeeh winning First Place, Hussain Isa Mohammed winning Second Place, and Third Place going to Charlie Fequro.
The winners were selected by a specially assigned judging panel selected by the company.
