MANAMA: The banking and insurance committee has convened its first meeting in the 28th session. The panel, an affiliate of the Bahrain Chamber of commerce and Industry (BCCI), discussed the 2014 work plan. Chaired by Adel Al-A’ali, the committee pledged to spare no effort to remove obstacles hampers the sectors of banking and insurance in cooperation with relevant authorities.
Dr. Osama Al-Baharna has been chosen unanimously as vice chairman of the banking and insurance committee.
The session stressed the importance of coordinating laws and legislations with the Bahrain Association of Banks and the Bahrain Insurance Society to address problems and remove obstacles hampering the private sector.
Also present were Rashid Abdulrahim, Samir Al-Wazan, Faisal Al-Alwan, Yahya Noureddine, Ali Al-Omrane and Fuad Abul as members, in addition to advisor Mohammed Noureddine.
