Jeddah: The GCC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) has condemned the Israeli settlements and discussed the Syrian and Iraqi crises during a meeting attended by all GCC Foreign Ministers.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, participated in the 41st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states.
The two-day event was held in Jeddah under the chairmanship of Saudi Foreign Minister, HRH Prince Saud Al-Faisal, under the theme Exploring Areas of Islamic Cooperation.
The parties discussed regional and international developments, including the Palestinian issue, and condemned the ongoing Israeli settlement operations. They discussed the Syrian crisis and the escalating development in Iraq.
The meeting supported the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to host the permanent headquarters of OIC Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) in Jeddah and renewed supporting the State of Kuwait to host the 42nd session of the CFM 2014.
