Dubai:The Arabia CSR Network is proud to announce that the highly acclaimed 7th Cycle of the Arabia CSR Awards will be held under the auspices of His Excellency Mohamed bin Ibrahim At-Tuwajri, Assistant Secretary General for Economic Affairs of the League of Arab States. The Arabia CSR Awards is highly honoured to receive this privilege and would like to extend its gratitude to the League of Arab States for their support of the Network’s sustainability objectives in the Arab World. The Arabia Network is a Pan-Arab initiative that operates under the slogan “Building Partnerships for a Sustainable Future” to facilitate the exchange of ideas and to forge lasting partnerships across sectors and countries.
The Arabia CSR Awards is the most prestigious and coveted CSR Award in the Arab world has been supported by the United Nations Global Compact since its inception in 2008, the support of yet another prestigious and accredited organization is a historic event for the Awards and says a lot about the magnitude of its platform. “The only way forward is together. I invite all organizations in all Arab countries to take this opportunity and join The Awards as force for sustainability to serve our societies, our environment and the planet at large, it is our responsibility to do so,’’ Habiba AlMarashi, President and CEO of the Arabia CSR Network, said.
The Awards is the most rigorous of its kind and has received over 580 applications from the most successful and innovative CSR pioneers from 13 countries across 26 sectors in the Arab world. To date the Arabia CSR Awards 7th Cycle has received 92 applications from 10 Arab countries across 22 sectors and counting!
These figures are not at face value, they translate into multiplied impacts on the communities and environments in which these organizations operate. This is simply because the Awards is not only a recognition tool- it is a knowledge exchange platform that has helped hundreds of companies assess and improve their commitment to the planet and the contribution to their economies to address the issues that are relevant to their capabilities and to the unique needs of their stakeholders.
The rigorous evaluation methodology and expert Jury feedback has helped these companies realign their priorities and embark on the right sustainability path. Similarly, the Best Practices Publication, which is an output of the Awards, has shared hundreds of examples that have inspired and educated organizations across the Arab World to follow the lead of pioneers and learn from their experiences.
This year the Arabia CSR Awards is also generously sponsored by Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, Petrochemical Industries Company (Kuwait) and Ma’aden Saudi Arabian Mining Company (KSA).

The Arabia CSR Awards 7th Cycle will once again get external assurance by DNV GL for increased transparency and credibility, adding to the rigor of the Awards and upholding its reputation for fairness and integrity.
The highly anticipated Annual Arabia CSR Awards Forum will take place on the 28th of October, 2014 under the theme ‘’Green and Inclusive Economy: Building a Sustainable Future’’. Previous forums have included speakers such as Sir Mark Moody-Stuart of UNGC, Wolfgang Engshuber of PRI, Herman Mulder of GRI and more.
