MANAMA: HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister who chaired the regular Cabinet meeting issued directives to take necessary steps to enhance the efficiency of the government.
The Cabinet also extended its greetings to HM the King and the people of Bahrain on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, wishing them many happy returns.
HRH the Prime Minister emphasized the directives that HM gave upon meeting with the members of the three authorities (executive, legislative, judicial), during which HM highlighted the importance of enhancing the performance of all bodies related to the authorities, in a manner that would fulfil citizens’ needs, and boost our national unity and coexistence.
HRH thanked the His Excellency Minister of Works on the completion of Muharraq Sewage Treatment Plant, which has recently been inaugurated. The project is considered an achievement within the framework of the Government’s ongoing efforts to achieve sustainable development.
HRH also thanked the Legislative Authority on the end of the third legislative term, and for all their efforts in serving the kingdom of Bahrain, wishing them every success in the future.
HRH gave directives to the concerned minister to follow up on the importance of providing all basic supplies for the Holy Month of Ramadan.
He also gave directives to the ministers to follow up on development projects in the different areas of Bahrain, in addition to making field trips to those areas and updating citizens on the progress of these projects.
The Cabinet discussed, during the regular a number of subjects and memorandums listed on the agenda.
The Cabinet reviewed the memorandum presented by the Coordinating Committee chaired by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, First Deputy Prime Minister on the follow-up of the implementation of the observations of the National Audit Court, for the year 2013.
The report outlined in detail the phases that the committee have so far completed, in accordance with the classifications given in the report. This was done by following-up on the observations in the report with the concerned authorities, bearing in mind the recommendations issued in that regard.
