MANAMA: Gulf Air, which slashed over 1000 jobs in 2013 as part of aggressive restructuring plan, says there will be no job cuts 2014.
At present Gulf Air have 2742 employees at the end of 2013 after slashing 1024 jobs including 429 Bahrainis and 595 expatriates.
Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, Minister of Transport on Wednesday indicated no more job cuts in 2014. “Ideally speaking and keeping in view the plans of reducing losses we need to cut more jobs but in 2014 there will no job cuts,” Minister Transport told the media roundtable.
