Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has been announced the winner at the 2014 Asia Communications Award Ceremony that was held in Singapore on the 19th of June. TRA Bahrain won the “Best Regulatory Initiative” category against stiff competition from across the Asian continent from regulators including Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia.
“This is a testimony of international recognition for the Authority’s achievements in the Kingdom,” Director of Human Resources & Finance, Faisal Al Jalahma, said.
“We are overjoyed, and consider this as a direct result of our efforts, placing us as an example for our counterparts across the globe. It is a proud moment for us to see that the highly trained professionals that drive the success in the TRA on a daily basis witness the fruits of their labor. This award is a great honor and stands as irrefutable evidence of the caliber of people we have with us,” he added.

The Asia Communication Awards recognize outstanding performance and innovation from the leading carriers, service providers and vendors that are based in Asia. The winners are determined based on written submissions and the deliberations of an impartial and recognizably expert panel of judges as well as industrial online voting.
