MANAMA: The Shura Council during its fifth extraordinary session during the third legislative term, under the chairmanship of the Council’s Second Deputy Chairman Jamal Mohammed Fakhro passed the amended the Bahraini Citizenship Law of 1973, accompanying Royal Decree 46 of 2014.
The council approved a number of draft laws and proposed laws referred to it by its permanent committees.
The other laws include: amending some provisions of law 19 of 2006 with respect to Regulating the Labour Market, and clause (a) of the same law, proposed by the Council of Representatives Council; amending some provisions of the Building Regulation Law of 1977; amending some provisions of Criminal Procedure Law issued by Legislative Decree No.(46) of 2002, accompanying Decree 124 of 2011 on reducing the period of detention for the suspects and granting them the right of grievance; amending article 393 of the Penal Code promulgated by Decree Law No. 15 of 1976; adding article 393 of the Penal Code promulgated by Decree Law No. 15 of 1976 and amending article 39 of the Social Insurance Law, promulgated by Decree Law 24 of 1976.
