MANAMA: Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has affirmed support to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s initiative to provide assistance for the brotherly Palestinian People in Gaza, and announced the donation of $100,000, as part of the National Campaign to Support the Palestinian People in Gaza, inaugurated by the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO).
“BCCI’s initiative is in line with its national responsibilities in support of the official and public stances towards the Palestinian people and a confirmation of its social and humanitarian roles,” BCCI in a statement said.
BCCI Chairman Khalid Abdulrahman Al-Moayyad lauded the stances of the Bahraini leadership and people in rejection of the Israeli assault on Gaza, citing HM the King’s condemnation of the aggression and kind initiative to provide urgent aid for the Palestinian citizens in Gaza in order to alleviate their sufferings through the establishment of the Bahrain National Committee for the Support of the Palestinian People in Gaza.
He praised the stances of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, who condemned Israel’s assault on Gaza which led to the martyrdom of many innocent Palestinian and destruction of their property.
The BCCI Chief called on private sector institutions to respond positively and contribute to RCO’s pro-Palestinians’ campaign.
