MANAMA: The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced a plan to setup business council with all friendly nations with an aim enhance the scope of business.
The year 2014 will mark BCCI’s Diamond Jubilee as the BCCI board today held its fourth meeting since its formation and discussed preparations to mark the 75th anniversary of the chamber.
BCCI Chairman Khalid Abdulrahman Almoayyed chaired the session which discussed the establishment of business councils with other friendly and brotherly countries. A work team has also been established to draw up the vision of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and set the strategic goals of the 28th session.
Attended by all board members, the session discussed the upcoming external business visits as well as preparations to convene the second GCC businesswomen’s forum. The panel stressed resolve to activate the role of the committees to serve the trade sector and revitalize the economic development. The board members discussed a number of ideas and proposals relating to the BCCI future strategy so as to bolster the participation of the chamber and the private sector in national affairs and Bahraini society.
