MANAMA: Deloitte announced the appointment of Zahi Zeini, an Audit & Advisory partner with more than 20 years’ experience in the Middle East, to lead the firm’s Bahrain practice, effective August 1st, 2014.
“The move reflects the strength of the economic and business climate in Bahrain and Deloitte’s commitment to this dynamic market,” Deloitte in a statement said.
The Deloitte Bahrain practice has a long history in the country serving international and local clients. It began operations in 1955 and offers a large array of professional services in Audit, Consulting, Financial Advisory and Enterprise Risk services. It is home to the regional Deloitte Islamic Finance Knowledge Center, which publishes Islamic Finance thought leadership for the MENA region. Based on the work of its Intelligence and Research function, the Center imparts knowledge, skills, and innovation in thought with a view to promoting and implementing change in Islamic Finance practices around the world.

Throughout his career, Zahi Zeini, a US CPA, has led a large portfolio of audit engagements across various industries consisting for the most part of large banks and financial institutions as well as construction, consumer products, retail, wholesale and distribution, public sector, and agriculture.
Roger Nasr, the outgoing Bahrain managing partner, has taken on the regional role of Risk & Reputation leadership and as a member of the Deloitte Middle East Management Team.
