MANAMA: The Cabinet on Sunday decided to set up a committee headed by the Foreign Minister to take the necessary procedures for the implementation of the Riyadh agreement.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa chaired at Gudaibiya Palace the weekly cabinet meeting, the Secretary-General of Cabinet Dr. Yaser bin Essa Al-Nasser stated.
The Ministerial council hailed the outcome of the GCC ministerial meeting which convened in Jeddah on implementing Riyadh agreement.
The cabinet expressed hope the GCC member states would embark on the implementation of the agreement to maintain the GCC march and achieve aspirations.
The cabinet decided to enable Bahrainis with free business to benefit from the social insurance system and agreed to allocate a private account for this in the General Organisation for Social Insurance fund.
Affiliates with the system shall have a monthly income ranging from the minimum pension and a maximum of BD 2000.
Beneficiaries from the social insurance system can adjust the monthly income category by 5% annually.
His Royal Highness the Prime Minister directed to continue developing logistic services and movement procedures of trucks and passengers on King Fahad Causeway.
The cabinet extended thanks to the Saudi leadership for continuous cooperation to streamline the movement of commodities and passengers via the causeway. HRH the Premier directed to continue streamlining procedures for obtaining investment construction licences so as to boost Bahrain’s competitiveness in the urban development field.
The ministerial council got updated by the Health Minster on the preventative measures put in place by the Health Ministry in cooperation with regional and international organisations to ensure Bahrain remains free of Ebola virus and face the disease.
The cabinet directed the Health Ministry to cooperate with the High Hajj Committee to take the necessary procedures to ensure the safety of Bahraini pilgrims.
The cabinet approved referring a draft law to amend some provisions of law 3 for 1972 concerning judicial fees, Dr. Al-Nasser also said.
