MANAMA: The economy has successfully surmounted the challenging conditions surfaced in 2011, thanks to the robust fundamentals of the economy, according a leading banker.
“Generally speaking, the economy in the past two years has successfully passed through one of the most daunting and difficult phases in the economic history of the Kingdom,” A Karim Bucheery, Chief Executive BBK in an exclusive interview told The24X7News (www.twentyfoursevennews.com).
The banking sector, he added, is back on its feet and showing positive trends in all line of businesses and these trends would further help in yielding positive results by creating encouraging business environment.
Earlier, BBK had reported a net profit of BD27.2 million in the first six months, a growth of 7.8% compared to BD25.2 million reported for the corresponding period of the last year; with earnings of 27fils per share (2013: 25fils per share).
