AWALI: The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) has carried out its 4th Periodic OHSAS 18001: 2007 external audit, which was carried out by the DNV.
In this regard, a close out meeting was recently conducted on at the Bapco Refinery. The meeting discussed the observations and recommendations made as part of the audit, and discussed necessary measures to be taken as a result of the audit. Present at the meeting were Bapco’s Chief Executive, Dr. Peter Bartlett and Acting DCE Khalid Sabbagh, as well as other key personnel from the company.
The audit was completed successfully with no non-conformities being recorded. The OHSAS 18001:2007 audit is a periodic audit which is generally carried out every 6 months over a three-year cycle in Bapco, with the next audit scheduled to be conducted in the first quarter of 2015. This key activity is held in line with Bapco’s dedicated efforts to upholding highest safety standards in the company and its commitment to conform to international standards and regulations throughout its premises and facilities.
