MANAMA: The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) has hosted a group of children from the Capital Governorate’s summer programme.
The visit was held in line with Bapco’s continued commitment towards the society and towards developing the youth of the Kingdom, enabling them to benefit from an enriching learning experience through their summer programme.
Children were taken on a tour of the company’s facilities, and given a presentation on Bapco’s operations before visiting the Dar Al Naft (Oil Museum) to learn about the history of oil in the kingdom. They were then hosted at the Bapco Club, where they had the opportunity to visit and utilise the company’s sporting facilities.
Upon the conclusion of the visit, officials from the summer programme thanked Bapco for organising the visit and hailed its role in fostering such initiatives in the kingdom. Commenting on this occasion, Bapco’s Manager Public Relations Department, Ali Yacoob Al Meftah said that the visit was held as part of Bapco’s year-round Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) endeavours, and underlines its role in serving the community.
The visit was organised by Acting Superintendent (Special Assignment) – Public Relations in Bapco, Fahad Shamsan.
Bapco regularly hosts students from various educational institutions and organisations in Bahrain, which reiterates its passion for developing young learners in the Kingdom.
