Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced that the monthly issue of the short-term Islamic leasing bonds, Sukuk Al-Ijara, has been oversubscribed by 315%.
“Subscriptions for worth of BD63 million were received for the BD20 million issue which carries a maturity of 182 days,” CBB in a statement said.
“The expected return on the issue, which begins on 14 August 2014 and matures on 12 February 2015, is 0.77 % compared to 0.80% for the previous issue on 17 July 2014.”
The Sukuk Al-Ijara is issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
