MANAMA: As part of the corporate social responsibility efforts and dedication towards the development of Bahraini youth, Kuwait Finance House – Bahrain (KFH-B) participated in one of the Bahraini’s Youth Enrichment Programmes, “Ithra Summer Job Exposure” Programme, during the period from 22nd to 26th June 2014, and which is arranged and organized by Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation.
A total of eight intermediate school students got the opportunity to join summer internship program at KFH-B for a full week under this program, in which they got exposed to five different departments at the bank.
During their internship at the Bank, the interns learned to apply a set of essential values and work skills by observing KFH-Bahrain staff applying it at work. These values include team work, initiative, confidence, creativity, hard work and other important work ethics that were demonstrated by all KFH-Bahrain Staff.
Ithra Youth Program is a national training program that aims to develop Bahraini youth by adopting practical and theoretical training tools while enriching key values that can build up their leadership skills to become dynamic, proactive and proud members of society who exemplify the values of our culture and traditions.
“It is our pleasure to partner with Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation in training and developing future leaders through this program which help them to enhance their capabilities and skills and encourages them to interact positively with the community. It teaches them to take responsibility and train them to be leaders,” Yousif Al Hammadi, Executive Manager and Head of Human Resources, said.
“Through the demonstration of a good example for work ethics and code of conduct that are followed at KFH-B, our staff members have contributed to the development of the trainees’ work skills and values in line with the objectives of Ithra Youth Program. It was an extra-ordinary opportunity to get practical experience, gain important skills and learn about the role and work procedures at different departments of the bank. They were given essential knowledge and skills that will help them to be successful leaders”, he added.
Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation “MKF” is an NGO established in May 2011 with the objective of supporting society’s educational needs and building a solid community that could realize their full potential by focusing on developing Bahraini youth.
Ithra Summer Job Exposure” Program aims to develop various skills among youth such as self-confidence, creativity, equipping youth with the knowledge, skills and qualities needed for leadership through meaningful engagement in real community issues. Also, it helps them to develop trust and unity among program participants.
