Manama: Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), as part of its commitment to share its knowledge and expertise with the society, organised a tour of its recently inaugurated datacentre for members of the Technology and Business Society (TBS).
The visitors from TBS – comprising key IT personnel from well-known enterprises and businesses in Bahrain – were able to view and learn more about the datacentre, which is one of the latest generations of Containerised Datacentre (CDC). Built by HP, Alba’s new datacentre was designed in-house by Alba’s IT team to suit the company’s requirements and was delivered, commissioned and live in early December 2013.
Alba’s Chief Operations Officer, Isa Al Ansari, Chief Financial Officer, Ali Al Baqali, Senior Manager Information Technology, Esam Hadi and Superintendent IT and Infrastructure Services, Syed Hashmi along with other IT personnel from the company welcomed the visitors.
“Alba’s new CDC provides a high-quality environment for central data storage and networking. We are proud to showcase the new datacentre in order for our partners to learn and understand the technology, so that they may look at deploying similar solutions in the future,” Commenting on this visit, Chief Financial Officer, Ali Al Baqali, said.
