MANAMA: The Kingdom of Bahrain will establish the safety and occupational health council, it was announced on Sunday.
The Official Government Spokesperson and State Minister for Information Affairs Sameera Rajab post weekly meeting told reporters that the Cabinet discussed and approved the memorandum presented by the Minister of State for Defence Affairs who is also president of the Ministerial Committee for Legal Affairs on the draft decision to establish the Safety and Occupational Health Council.
The Council shall be concerned with the drawing up, follow-up and implementation of public policy in the field of occupational health and safety and creating a secure work environment, in addition to the proposal and review of the development of national legislation and standards for the protection, conservation and safety of workers and the work environment.
