Manama: HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, who chaired the regular Cabinet session on Sunday, extended congratulations to His Majesty the King on the occasion of being granted an award from the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding (FFEU).
The award, the Cabinet told, was in recognition of the contributions of the King in promoting meaningful dialogue between religions and cultures.
HRH the Prime Minister praised what has been stated in the message of His Majesty the King in His response to the speech of HRH the Crown Prince, stressing the government’s commitment to all the directives of His Majesty.
HRH the Prime Minister gave directives to His Excellency the Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs to facilitate pilgrimage affairs and to work on following-up on all the necessary procedures.
HRH the Prime Minister gave directives to complete the existing projects, stressing the need to expedite on their delivery and opening according to the type of project.
The Cabinet discussed and approved the memorandum presented by the Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Vice-President of the Ministerial Committee for Legal Affairs, regarding the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Education and the Boris Yeltsin’s presidential Library in the Federal Republic of Russia.
This MoU between the two parties aims at enhancing cooperation in the field of libraries, sources of knowledge and digital archiving.
The Cabinet discussed and approved the memorandum presented by the Minister of Transportation on signing air transport agreement with the Government of the Czech Republic.
The agreement aims at promoting trade and economic relations, as well as to organize air transport between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Czech Republic.
The Cabinet discussed the memorandum presented by Her Excellency the Minister of State for Information Affairs on the request to obtain a licence to establish a monthly magazine specialized in educational activities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Cabinet decided to refer the memorandum to the concerned ministerial committee for further review.
The Cabinet discussed the memorandum presented by the Minister of State for Information Affairs on the draft Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of State for Information Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Republic in India.
The MoU aims at enhance cooperation between the two countries in the following fields exchange of expertise in the field of government communication and the promotion of government policies; exchange of radio and television programs; exchange of expertise in the field of filmmaking and film production; training and exchange of expertise in the field of information and communication and exchange of visits of journalists and media personnel between the two countries.
The Cabinet decided to refer the memorandum to the Ministerial Committee for Legal Affairs for further review.
The Cabinet discussed the memorandum presented by His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Commerce on the industrial companies located in the Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP).
There are currently 105 industrial projects that have been approved to be established at the Bahrain International Investment Park, on a total area of 1,203,142 square meters.
The Cabinet discussed the legislations related to the election process.
