KUWAIT: The Euromoney Kuwait Conference will open on Tuesday with keynote addresses from the Minister of Finance, Anas Al-Saleh, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait, Dr Mohammed Al-Hashel.
The theme for this year’s event will be New Dynamics of Finance and Investment, focusing on the recent developments in the Kuwaiti financial sector in particular. The conference will feature one-to-one interviews with many of the new leaders of major Kuwaiti banks.
Loïc Fery, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Chenavari Investment Managers, one of the largest independent non-US credit hedge fund managers with $5.5b assets under management, will feature in a one-to-one interview about the European banking sector and the investment opportunities created by the need for deleveraging.
International speakers from Knight Frank, Lazard Asset Management, and Standard & Poor’s will join local experts from Global Investment House, Kuwait Financial Centre (‘Markaz’) and United Real Estate Company to examine the investment outlook.
