Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa hailed deep-rooted historic relations bonding Bahrain and Pakistan, particularly legislative ties.
HM the King received at Al-Sakhir Palace Pakistan National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, who conveyed greetings from Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, wishing Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity. Parliament Chairman Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani attended the meeting.
HM the King stressed the importance of exchanging visits and meetings between parliamentary delegations to expand joint cooperation between the two friendly countries.
He underlined the crucial role played by parliaments in coordinating stances, mustering efforts and advocating the just causes of the Islamic nation in legislative arenas.
He recalled his recent successful visit to Pakistan, which yielded positive and fruitful results that bolstered fraternal relations and expanded joint cooperation.
HM the King paid tribute to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for its honourable stances in support of Bahrain, hailing its pivotal role in advocating Arab and Islamic causes and contributing to world security, peace and stability.
