MANAMA: The outgoing Japanese Ambassador in Bahrain Shigeki Sumi said that Japan-Bahrain ties have entered into a new era of co-operation and development, thanks to the understanding among the top leadership of both countries.
Ambassador Shigeki Sumi, who will be bidding farewell upon the completion of his posting in Bahrain, said that he was satisfied with the outcomes with pace of developments in past three years.
Japanese envoy highlighted the importance of the growing co-operation in all vital areas including trade, investments, political, military, cultural, educational and training areas.
“The co-operation with Bahrain will continue in future as the leaderships of both countries attaches special importance to the ties,” he said, adding that the Japanese investments in Bahrain and vice versa will have a profound impact on the future level of co-operation.
The Ambassador while highlighting the strength of bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Japan said that this was result of positive communication and continuous coordination between officials in the Kingdom of Bahrain and Japan.
He praised Bahraini coordination with the competent authorities in Japan to strengthen mutual relations in all fields, especially the economic field, which tops the list of interests with the leaderships of the two countries.
