Manama: Dr Hassan Abdulla Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce opened a whole new world of fun and adventure at Seef Mall’s new Magic Island.
The official opening which held under the patronage of the Minister, the Seef Mall celebrated the re-opening of Bahrain’s first indoor theme park, Magic Island. The special inauguration ceremony, where the minister was received by Seef Properties senior management, was attended by key stakeholders and members of the media.
Seef Properties General Manager, Robert Addison told reporters that over $7million was spent on creating the theme park with over 100 world-class attractions featuring exciting new rides and games, offers plenty of fun, thrills and surprises, all waiting to be explored in the wonderful world of Magic Island.

Sporting a new underwater theme that perfectly captures the essence of island life, the new Magic Island has six unique zones. The marina deck is where visitors embark on their journey; a beach with bumper cars; adventure play and spring rides to help visitors relax; a rock pool to experience thrilling rides such as ‘crazy raft’; the Caribbean Island boasts a LED underwater-themed bowling alley and a plethora of video games; and last but not least, the Haunted House to scare visitors witless. All of this is housed in an underwater environment of 4,500 square metres, brought to life with sea-inspired murals and creatures.
The Minister hailed the ongoing development of Seef Mall that represents an excellent example of joint projects between the public and private sectors.
He highlighted the dedication of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to support all projects that could achieve economic and social growth to meet the ambitions of the wise leadership and the government.
