Dubai: Bahrain pavilion in Gitex Technology Week 2014 has successfully managed to attract new businesses to Bahrain by signing several MOUs with regional and international companies to enter the market for the first time.
Bahrain pavilion attracted several countries and helped promote the Kingdom of Bahrain as an investment destination with the potential for the national companies to showcase their products, and build new business partnership opportunities.
The presence of the private sector this year at Bahrain pavilion was through the collaboration of leading Bahraini ICT companies which was organized by the eGovernment Authority (eGA), The Economic Development Board (EDB), WorkSmart and Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH).
Digital Middle East Company from Bahrain signed a collaboration agreement with View Sonic Tablets by which Digital will start offering its products in the Bahraini market as of next November these will be available on Android and iOS platforms, in different sizes and prices with modern shapes and professional and personal usability.
“We seek to meet the market needs and consumer demands irrespective of their fields and lifestyles, with a core focus on increasing the demand volume on these kinds of devises, we have signed an agreement with View Sonic Tablets as a leading multimedia operator, looking forward to meeting the needs and for its competitive features in terms of shape and price,” Abbas Hussain, Digital Middle East General Manager said.
AlNadeem company signed a collaboration agreement with Gateway Group as a joint business agreement in Bahrain to provide cutting edge services and various programmes for the customer relationship management (CRM), along with some applications associated with smart phones and tablets, upgrading the administrative work through the automation of operations for both the public and private sectors.
AlNadeem signed yet another collaboration agreement with Rujul ERP Company specialized at delivering services in procurement management, points of sale, inventory, sales distribution management, and finally Human Resources Management. AlNadeem will benefit from their level of expertise and make their products available on the Bahrain market.
AlNadeem’s CEO Ubaydli Al Ubaydli said the agreement was a part of AlNadeem’s approach to benefit from advanced services towards upgrading the technology industry in Bahrain and enhancing the national human resource skills by availing from the expertise of regional and international companies.
Hi Aimer Company signed a collaboration agreement with Oracle as a certified partner, which aims at the creation, development and the maintenance of ICT solutions and systems .It should be noted that this Company has concluded a previous partnership with Microsoft as a certified partner as well.

Acting Director, Marketing and Awareness Directorate at the eGovernment Authority, Fahad Isa Al Qadhi expressed his pride towards these agreements and focused on the great strides achieved by Bahrain in the ICT industry emphasizing that the entry into new markets will undoubtedly enhance ties and create job opportunities for Bahrainis, which have positive implications for enhancing market maturity and improving efficiency.
Al Qadhi pointed out that the eGovernment Authority’s support for the Bahrain pavilion in Gitex 2014 is primarily designed to open up channels of communication, enhance the prospects for investments in the ICT industry both regionally and internationally, moreover showcase and promote services and solutions delivered by local companies.
