The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) participated in a Six Sigma Forum organised by the Bahrain Quality Society under the patronage of Lt. General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister of State for Defence Affairs and Honorary Chairman of the Society.
The Forum included number of dialogues, scenarios and workshops aimed at developing Six Sigma applications in the kingdom with regard to planning and operations and achieving aspired improvement in quality management in product and service establishments in the Kingdom.
“Bapco’s participation in the forum is as part of its ongoing ambitious plans to improve work mechanisms and cope with the latest global trends in this regard,” Bapco’s General Manager Human Resources and Administration Ghassan Al Muhanna, said.
He emphasised Bapco’s keen endeavours to comply with the latest applications in the forum, which aimed at improving overall performance and quality while enhancing productivity, in addition to reducing costs and polishing individual skills. “Six Sigma applications serve as an essential tool in establishing a successful organisation, which also helps identify the individual potential of personnel, in addition to employing and investing their abilities in developing organisations and achieving operational excellence,” he added.
