Doha: The much-awaited three days of the 10th edition of Milipol Qatar begins on Monday, the 20th of October 2014. The show will run until the 22nd of October 2014 at the Doha Exhibition Centre in Qatar.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, the biennial event is being organised by the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar and Comexposium Security from Paris.
“Finally, the long wait is over!” Muriel Kafantaris, Exhibition Director – Milipol Qatar 2014, said. “I am proud to say that as of today, all preparations are already in place and we are more than eager to welcome and host, from Monday and for the succeeding two days, all stakeholders involved in internal State security.
“As the world’s most influential trade exhibition dedicated to internal State security, exhibitors and visitors from across the region and all over the world who will descend upon Qatar, will be able to see and experience cutting-edge technologies and innovations that exhibitors intend to highlight at the show,” she added. “Thus, we encourage and invite all those interested to learn more and acquire the latest and most advanced hardware and software systems related to internal State security but have not yet registered their attendance to the event to simply go to our website and register online.
“Due to the high quality of exhibitors and visitors at the show, we expect business deals and transactions to be generated out this 10th edition to exceed all previous ones,” Kafantaris added as she also noted that this edition’s 262 exhibitors from 36 countries already represents a seven per cent increase from that in 2012. With the North American pavilion occupying the largest exhibition space at 231 m², the overall net floor area of built booths at 6,067 m² also corresponds to a 12 per cent expansion from two years back.
Six new countries – Belgium, Cyprus, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic and Taiwan – as well as two new international pavilions – Italy and the UK – will join a distinguished line-up of the finest manufacturers and suppliers of internal State security equipment from all over the world. The UK pavilion, with 24 companies, will have the largest number of international participants. Host Qatar will have 59.
The other international pavilions also to be present at the show will be Brazil, France, and Germany / Austria.
