Manama: The 10th GCC International Conference and the 19th exhibition for electrical equipment titled ‘GCC Power 2014’ will be held in Bahrain from November 10th to 12th 2014.
The three-day conference aims at providing participants the opportunity to learn more about the latest developments in the electricity and energy industry, in addition to providing exhibitors with access to the most profitable deals.
The conference will also highlight the challenges facing the power sector in the region, gathering hundreds of experts and those concerned with the power sector to develop business relations and exchange experiences.
Delegates will have the opportunity to discuss the latest trends and strategies to meet the region’s rapidly expanding energy needs through a series of panel and technical sessions.
“We are privileged to host such a significant specialized convention to discuss the power sector affairs and develop active framework between GCC power ministries, in accordance with the economic boom in this region and the rapid growth of gulf council members,” Dr. Abdul Hussain Bin Ali Mirza, the Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, said.
“This conference will be a great opportunity to exchange ideas and select what really suits each country in terms of power initiatives and applications, thanks to many distinctive scientific experts and innovative minds in power sector, which will benefit all participants, taking into consideration the panels and the technical workshops held during the conference, and going through in-depth studies to be presented by well-known engineers around the globe,” Dr. Abdul Hussain Bin Ali Mirza, said.
“The government has been always encouraging all ministries and authorities to be an active part in technical conventions, hosting many events aim at enhancing research and development R&D in the Kingdom, supported by an intense objective to qualify more local workers in the power sector, for the sake of delivering the best services to Bahrainis and expatriates”, said Shaikh Nawaf CEO of Bahrain Electricity and Water Authority and head of GCC Power 2014 higher committee.
“The main reason behind the participation of Bahrain Electricity and water authority in this function is to find the most suitable solutions for our future problems in power sector, so that we can ensure satisfactory services for all, which would help the kingdom attract more investments and promising projects in the near future,” Shaikh Nawaf, added.
“The increasing demand on electricity imposes new challenges on how GCC authorities could offer enough supply to all citizens and manufacturers, and this conference will be the right platform to shed light on these issues, and come up with useful ideas with successful participation,” Shaikh Nawaf, said.
