MANAMA: The General Director of Northern Governorate Police announced Tuesday that an explosion in the Deraz area injured two on-duty policemen. Both policemen received minor injuries and were transported to hospital for treatment.
The initial investigation indicates that the blast was caused by a homemade bomb that was detonated while the police were dispersing rioters. The General Director said the Public Prosecution had been notified about the case.
The investigation continues to identify and arrest the suspects involved and bring them to justice.
Police urged anyone with any information to call the police hotline at 80008008 and calls will be treated as anonymous.
