MANAMA: The Assistant Undersecretary of Legal Affairs at the Interior Ministry announced that the third lower police court sentenced two community policemen with a month in jail after the police prosecution charged them of not performing their duties with accuracy, trust and sincerity.
He said that the two were detained on November 2 for a case that occurred the previous day while they were on-duty near a Mattam (community center) in Manama. He said that a group of individuals engaged in illegal behavior and the two community police officers failed to report the incident to their superiors, hence legal actions were taken against them.
