Manama: The eGovernment Authority recently completed a training programme for a number of graduates whom have completed university degrees.
The eGA said that the initiative was a part of its commitment and corporate social responsibility towards the development of the young caliber in the labor market.
The eGA welcomed a number of graduate trainees from different universities within the Kingdom that underwent the annual eGA training progamme from July to October 2014.
Through the authority’s training Programme, the aim was to ensure the trainees gain valuable work experience in various departments while completing a variety of assigned projects. This initiative ensures the availability of skilled graduates, which are qualified at several working areas receiving the basic training that is indispensable for their smooth entry into the labor market.
Trainees were from different academic backgrounds such as Computer science, Accounting, Public Relations and Business Management, whom were are all subject to an extensive training program, exposed to hands-on experience which is seen as a significant complementary factor the graduates’ acquisition of practical skills and valuable knowledge required for their entry into a competitive labor market.
The eGovernment Authority distributed trainees over multiple departments in order for them to directly associate with the professionals at work, training them on the core working duties on different tasks and responsibilities monitoring their performance accordingly.
Such training programmes are part of the eGovernment Authority annual plan to entice and benefit the young Bahraini market noting that it has received more than 200 trainees over the years since its establishment, carrying out jobs in line to their areas of specialization.
“This initiative comes in response to ensure the achievement of one of the objectives of the eGovernment Authority’s Strategy and vision to enhance the spirit of entrepreneurship, capacity-building, and it social partnership, along with training of a qualified and outstanding generation in several academic disciplines to feed the labor market, thereby contributing towards diversifying and boosting the growth of the national economy,” eGA in a statement, said.
