Manama: Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh has affirmed that exchanged visits between Bahraini and Chinese leaders, senior officials and parliamentarians over the past years reflect the solidity of bilateral ties, and will contribute to opening up new horizons of joint cooperation and rapprochement.
Al Saleh praised His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s historic visit to China in September 2013, noting that the Royal visit laid down the bases for more advanced relations.
He pointed out that the visit of the high-level Chinese delegation, led by the Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Yu Zhengsheng, to the kingdom tomorrow affirms the strength of the Bahraini-Chinese relations.
He pointed out that the visit aims to consolidate bilateral relations, and is part of the two countries’ celebrations of the 25th anniversary of their diplomatic ties, praising the key role played by Yu Zhengsheng in enhancing joint relations at all levels.
He expressed sincere appreciation to China for its supportive stances towards the kingdom, rejection of all forms of violence and backing of the reform and dialogue approaches stemming from within the country, and without any foreign interference.
