MANAMA: Celebrating the 23rd edition of Jewellery Arabia Bahrain, the organizers and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce reported a record number of exhibitors covering 18000 square meters at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC).
“Jewellery Arabia 2014 is record breaking as there are 600 exhibitors participating this year and over 120 requests for exhibitors were declined due to certain constraints. We have more countries participating this year and on top of the quality of products on display is something very encouraging that global brands have become a part of this expo,” the Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr Hassan Abdulla Fakhro, on the sidelines of the opening ceremony, told the The24X7News Bahrain (www.twentyfoursevennews.com).
Under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister, Jewellery Arabia2014 has officially been inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC).
The five-day show features high-end international brands, independent designers, retailers and manufacturers from across the globe.
Minister of Industry and Commerce also Chairman of Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority Dr. Hassan Abdulla Fakhro praised His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain for his continued patronage for Jewellery Arabia since its inception in 1992 and support to the exhibition industry which contributed largely in making Bahrain a key and strategic location for the exhibitions sector.
The Minister said that Jewellery Arabia represents the flagship of exhibitions in Bahrain and is a leading jewellery and watches exhibition in the Middle East both in terms of quality, size and global participation from around the world.
The Minister expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness the Prime Minister for his continuous support for this annual exhibition and exhibition industry, as a whole, in strengthening its contribution to the national economy and its position in this important industry in the region and wished all participants and exhibitors every success and visitors from other countries a pleasant stay in the island. Jewellery Arabia, since in inception in 1992, has firmly established itself as the largest and most prestigious jewellery and watch event in the Middle East.
The 23rd exhibition in this prestigious annual series is open in the period November 18-22 hosted over 600 companies from 30 nations. On sale are the largest display of finished jewellery, luxury timepieces, precious stones, antiques and objets d’art in the Middle East.
Jewellery Arabia has evolved into the single most important jewellery and watch exhibition in the Middle East. Its reputation, size, quality of exhibits and sheer variety is unique in the region.
