MANAMA: As the Kingdom of Bahrain is preparing to hold 4th term of parliamentary elections on November 22nd, around 400 local and international journalists are set to cover the upcoming elections.
This was disclosed by the State Minister for Information Affairs and the Official Spokesperson of Bahrain Sameera bin Rajab during the opening of the media center at Shaikh Isa Culture Hall on Thursday.
The media centre also provides a crew of specialists in external communication and public relations from the Information of Affairs Authority (IAA), and they will be under your service to provide you with any technical or logistical assistance needed in the centre or on the move.
“Today, in your lovely presence, we would like to launch this wonderful media centre that is equipped with all the facilities and techniques to assist with the work of journalists and reporters, from Bahrain and abroad, in order accomplish their work in the best circumstances,” she said.
The Minister thanked the Information Affairs Authority (IAA), for their diligent work to complete the final media preparations of this important national event in time and with all the required discipline and professionalism.
“Needless to say that we would like to express our great satisfaction of the significant number of foreign and local journalists and media professionals, that came to cover the elections,” she added.
Talking about media centre she said that facility provides multiple services for all users, the most important of which are the computers, the Internet, the phones, the faxes and a small studio equipped for direct broadcasting via satellites. In addition to that, a cafeteria and transportation services are made available around the clock and open for everyone.
