The General Director of Capital Governorate Police announced that an investigation into a fire at a bank in the Seef district has been launched in order to identify the suspects and bring them to justice.
The General Director stated that as soon as the Operations Room received a report of the fire, Civil Defence responded to the scene. After the fire was extinguished, the crime scene was examined and forensic evidence was collected. Initial evidence showed that the fire was ignited by a person or persons with a gallon of petrol and several Molotov cocktails. The fire also damaged an ATM machine and several nearby offices. The General Director said the Public Prosecution was notified.
