MANAMA: As Bahrain getting closer to the general polls, twelve general polling centres open their doors countrywide on November 22 from 8:00 am until 8:00pm for voters to cast their ballots in the upcoming parliamentary and municipal elections.
The centres will make it easier for citizens to cast their ballots as they cover all constituencies, taking into account geographic distribution.
“Voters will also have the possibility to cast their ballots in the sub-polling stations in their respective constituencies,” Legislation and Legal Opinion Chief, Parliamentary and Municipal Elections 2014 executive director Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Bouainain said.
In a statement tonight, he defended the General Polling Stations, saying that most countries in the world use the same concept to make it easier for voters to cast their ballots.
The general polling stations are located at Al-Seef Shopping mall, Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Secondary School for Boys, Sitra Shopping Mall, Hidd Intermediate School for Girls, Bahrain International Airport, King Fahd Causeway, Hamad Town Secondary School for Boys, The Hall of the Education Ministry, Wadi Al-Seel Centre, Awali Club, Bahrain International Circuit in Al-Sakhir and Bahrain Centre for Rehabilitation and Vocational Training in Jaw.
